Name & Blog Name: My name’s Nuzaifa and I’m the girl behind Say It with Books.
Tell us a little about your blog! After I joined discovered Goodreads in 2011 I was so in love with the bookish community! But it had nothing on the awesome blogging community-I found the perfect place to gush about the books I loved and this kick ass community that thinks raving and ranting about fictional characters is completely normal. How cool is that?
So after a year I gathered up the courage to finally start a blog of my own in 2012.
Say It with Books is a book blog that focuses mostly on YA books but sometimes I do feature MG/NA/Adult books. Although book talk is the main focus of the blog, I also like about talk about music, host discussions and talk about blogging itself.
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) Oh, this one’s tough. I really enjoyed putting together one of my earlier discussion posts — Do We Readers Have Rights Too? I absolutely loved the response from my readers!
One of my favourite reviews is my review for Katja Millay’s The Sea of Tranquillity. My co-blogger at that time, Rachel and I reviewed this in a chat style. Our readers mentioned that they could definitely feel that we both loved the book and were super enthusiastic about it.
Got anything special coming up we should know about? Last year, Rachel and I put together an Indie and Self Published Author Event and the response from both authors and readers was amazing! This year, I hope to do it on a much smaller scale because Rachel is no longer there to keep me sane. I’ve tentatively scheduled it for July and I’m super excited for it.

Whatcha reading? I’m currently finishing up Nowhere But Home by Liza Palmer.
IMG_20140506_082320Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) It was actually a b’day present from myself! 😉
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? Yes! Palmer is a new author for me and I’m so glad that I gave her novel a chance because I’ll definitely be picking up her other works. Nowhere But Home is a heart-warming novel set in Texas is the kinda book that gives you so many feels.
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? Texas. Family Drama. Football. Love. Sisterhood. Dreams. Food.
Guys. The FOOD is un-fricking-believable-y awesome. Trust me, you will not regret picking this up. Here’s one of my favorite lines:
“I can’t be the only one faking it. I’m not the only lonely small-town girl drowning in this big city. I’m not the only refugee feeling invisible and alone. I’m not the only one who wants to scream, ‘NOTICE ME! I MATTER!’ Maybe everyone is faking it. Maybe they’re just better at it than I am.”
See? Told ya. ‘Course, I recommend it.

Whatcha drinking? Right now, tea with milk. 🙂
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? Black coffee. I’ll ALWAYS say yes to a freshly brewed mug of hot coffee.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! Coffee, iced mint tea and carbonated ginger beer. Oh you wanted one? My bad! 😉

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe — Sáenz, Benjamin Alire, The Fault in Our Stars — Green, John, Forbidden — Suzuma, Tabitha
All of them will make you wanna bawl your eyes out at least once but damn, they are totally worth it!
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? I’m a bit of hobby jumper so when I started blogging I wasn’t quite sure I would make it past one year. But here I am, one and half years later and going strong! 😉
Anything else you’d like to share? I’d just like to say that am truly thankful for every page view, comment, tweet and e-mail that has been sent my way by my lovely readers and the extremely supportive blogging community.
And thank you so much, Brittany for having me on Book Addict’s Guide-You are doing an amazing job with both your blog and with your Book and a Beverage feature! <3
