1 Name & Blog Name: Rachel from Confessions of a Book Geek
Tell us a little about your blog! I started Confessions of a Book Geek in March this year after finding the online book blogging community that I didn’t even know existed. I review books, participate in memes, host giveaways and sometimes squeeze in a discussion or two, and I read loads of different genres.
What’s been your favorite post you’ve written so far? (Link us up!) This is really tough! I wrote a piece for Banned Books Week that explained why I think the freedom to read is so important and I also loved the supportive response I got from the community when I wrote “When You’re Ashamed of What You’re Reading
Got anything special coming up we should know about? I can’t wait to do my End of Year Survey and I’m taking part in The Rereading Challenge for 2015. Also, I’m celebrating my one year blogoversary in March, so I’m hoping to do lots of giveaways and features for it!

Whatcha reading? I’m currently reading Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas, and I’m loving it but petrified of finishing it because I can’t cope with the wait until the next book.
Where did it come from? (Library, purchased, publisher, etc) Purchased. I got halfway through Throne of Glass and immediately went online to order all the rest of the books in the series.
Any special reason you chose to feature this book? Aside from the fact it’s what I’m reading right now, I absolutely adore this series, and even though it’s getting lots of praise already, there’s no harm in giving it some more!
What’s important that we should know about this book? Would you recommend it? It’s amazing! The Throne of Glass series is the first series I’ve gotten this excited about in a long time — there’s so much going on — romance, action, wit, paranormal elements. I definitely recommend it! beverage Whatcha drinking?  At the minute it’s coffee. I have a really busy week of work ahead of me, so I need copious amounts of coffee!
What’s your favorite thing to drink while reading? It’s cold so here! So anything warm is great, usually tea or coffee, and when my willpower isn’t great a biscuit or two is nice as well.
Favorite beverage of all time. Go! This Alcoholic, it has to be vodka and mixer. Non-alcoholic a skinny caramel latte!bonus

What are your top three books you would recommend to other people? I hate this! There’s always far too many! The first ones I can think of are the Harry Potter books because they are quite simply the best ever, anything by Colleen Hoover for contemporary or romance lovers, and We Need To Talk About Kevin because it is deep, dark and thought-provoking.
What’s your proudest blogging/reading/writing moment? I’ve had so many great moments – hitting 400 followers was amazing, I’m hoping to hit 500 so I can do a celebratory giveaway! I also got to interview one of my favourite authors, Diane Chamberlain, this year and that was amazing!
Anything else you’d like to share? Oh, a couple of things! I got together with lots of great Etsy sellers who do bookish-related items to offer special discounts to Book Geek readers and I’ve just set up a new Facebook page and I’d love to spread the word about it. Also, thanks so much for having me on your blog today, and a big shout out to the bloggers I follow and who comment on my posts – it’s a great community to be part of!

Thanks, Rachel! YESSSS FOR HEIR OF FIRE!!!! I absolutely LOVED that book (and the series too!)
