Top Ten Tuesday – April 4, 2017: Ten Grishaverse Candles You Need To Own

TOP TEN TUESDAY
April 4, 2017

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic was fandom related and with the mention of merch, I immediately went to candles!

The other day for a #bookstagram photo prompt, I ended up photographing my Dregs-inspired candles, which is a lot and a little all at the same time! Leigh Bardugo is one of my favorite authors and so I tend to collect a LOT from her books (other editions, candles, etc) but since I’m candle-crazy, I thought it would be fun to share some that I have and some that I still want! (Because I have to eventually get them all…)

KETTERDAM | In the Wick of Time

This Ketterdam candle smells like the wafting coffee scents from the Crow Club to entice people inside. I own a mini version of this and it’s delicious!! Plus that label is gorgeous. I definitely need to own more candles from Kaylan’s shop!

MAKE ME YOUR VILLAIN | Icey Designs

Ugh, look how gorgeous. These candle labels are seriously to die for! There are so many Dregs/Six of Crows candles out there now that I’m still looking for more Grisha Trilogy candles to add to my collection too.

NO MOURNERS, NO FUNERALS | Lumiere Candle Shop

I’ve had my eye on this one since this shop opened but still haven’t shelled out the money for it yet. I love the darkness and the crows on the label. Let’s be honest, the book it was inspired by and the label are a vast majority of why I buy a candle!

KAZ | Seven Hearts Wax Co

I always need more Kaz and this candle looks divine! I love this candle shop too — I have one inspired by Ollivander’s and can’t wait to get more! This one is definitely on my list.

KAZ BREKKER | A Court of Candles

I recently did a candle exchange with Nali from A Court of Candles and I’m so glad I did! She actually sent me minis of Kaz AND Inej so now I have TWO more candles for my collection!!

KAZ | Wick and Fable

Wick and Fable has some gorgeous label images and I love this smoky crow for Kaz. I recently purchased one their monthly boxes and was so impressed! I definitely want to try some more candles from this shop.

MATTHIAS | Nerdwicks

Matthias is pretty much my favorite character in the Dregs duology. I loved him from the first book and need all the Matthias candles!

MALYEN ORETSEV | Fragranced Fandoms

I love that Fragranced Fandoms makes a Mal candle! I’m not personally a shipper of Alina with The Darkling and I’m a sucker for friends-to-more romances so I may need this Mal-inspired candle!

HEARTRENDER | Meraki Candles

Meraki Candles has an amazing selection of the candles of my heart. Look at this gorgeous Heartrender candle!! And it has a waffle on it! Ugh, I just love it.

DIRTYHANDS | The Melting Library

Raquel from The Melting Library has so many ingenuous candles and Dirtyhands was actually the first candle that I got of hers that wasn’t included in a subscription box. I love the way it reminds me of Kaz and has a little bit of a masculine scent on top of the scents as a whole. They blend together really well!

THE WRAITH | Novelly Yours Candles

And of course, I can’t leave you without a plug for my own candle shop. (Maybe only a little bit sorry.) I wanted to come up with a candle that was unique and there weren’t any Inej candles out there when I came up with The Wraith! Inej doesn’t really have a scent since she is the Wraith and all so I selected the scents from the story from her childhood. They were actually inspired by her mother but they’re all of Inej’s favorite scents so they combine for a lovely soft, floral and earthy mix in this candle.

Which fandom candles are you dying to own? As if I wasn’t already series-obsessed, these candles really bring each series to life even more and as long as these shops keep making them, I will keep buying them for my collections!

Top Ten Tuesday – March 28, 2017: Ten Authors I’ve Been Lucky Enough to Meet

TTTbanner

TOP TEN TUESDAY
March 28, 2017

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic was things about meeting authors so I chose to talk about some of the amazing authors that I’ve been fortunate enough to meet!

Let’s brag about Anderson’s Bookshop for a second, shall we? They’re my local indie (I frequent the Naperville, IL location but they also have stores in Downers Grove, IL and now LaGrange, IL) and they KILL IT with events! I first discovered them through the blogging world and ended up going to my very first Fierce Reads tour (well, really first author even EVER) on a whim and it was all downhill from there. They’ve brought sooooo many amazing authors to town and I’ve met most of my favorites through them!

I’ve also got to meet quite a few amazing authors at events like BEA and ALA. It’s always such a whirlwind because sometimes signings go by so fast or events are full of bloggers and authors so you try to talk to literally everyone there… But it’s so amazing to be able to mingle with your rockstar authors!

MARISSA MEYER

the book addict's guide

Obviously, Marissa Meyer is at the top of my list. I first met her when I was asked to moderate (!!!) the Fierce Reads even in 2014 and I was SO. NERVOUS. She was so amazingly sweet and kind enough to sign all of my many copies of her books. I got to see her again for the WINTER release and again at BEA 2016! She’s always so wonderful to talk to (and I hope I don’t scare her TOO much).

LEIGH BARDUGO

You think Leigh Bardugo is tired of seeing me yet? I just love every time I get to see her! She’s so funny, down-to-earth, clever, and an awesome lady all around. She actually recognizes me when we meet now (gosh, is that a good thing or a bad thing? I’m floored) and she’ll always be a favorite author of mine in so many ways, only one of which is that she was at my very first ever author event!

MAGGIE STIEFVATER

Maggie Stiefvater is AWESOME. I’ve only gotten to see her once (I saw her walk by at BEA but didn’t go to her signing since I already had The Raven King) and she was funny, unique, and amazing. I hope she comes to town again for future tours!! I need to see her again!

GAYLE FORMAN

I’ve actually met Gayle Forman twice now but failed to take a picture with her both times. Once was at Anderson’s YA lit conference and the second was at BEA 2016, but the signing lines went so fast that I felt bad asking to take photos! The Anderson’s YA lit conference was really what started my collection of her books because I forgot to bring my copies so I bought new ones while I was there but then couldn’t bear to get rid of the other ones! So I kept them all and started collecting.

BRANDON SANDERSON

I didn’t realize that I met Brandon Sanderson twice but looking back, now I remember! I was basically tongue-tied both times I met him and tried to come up with interesting conversation. I asked him his advice for which of his books I should start next but what does it really matter because I’m binge-reading them all anyway! (I did take his advice though.)

EMERY LORD

I adore Emery Lord and her books so it was so excited to finally meet her!! She came to town on a Bloomsbury tour and I also got to have dinner with the authors! Man, I had a hard time playing it cool. I was so excited to be around some of my favorites, especially Emery!

ROBIN LAFEVERS

His Fair Assassin is still one of my favorite series out there and I was so excited to meet Robin LaFevers many years back! It was so exciting to meet her and hear some fun and exciting things about her writing process and history on her books.

LAUREN OLIVER

It was a DREAM meeting Lauren Oliver! DELIRIUM was one of my first YA books and I read her series when I was obsessed with dystopian. She read a passage from her book during the event and she used my book to read out of. I died a little.

ERICA O’ROURKE

Erica is local to Chicago and I picked up one of her books BECAUSE she was going to be at an event and I looooved it! I’ve gotten to meet up with her a few times and it’s been too long since our last encounter! I can’t wait to read her latest adult mystery novel and I need to backtrack and read her earlier series too!

MEG CABOT

Meg Cabot was one of the authors who got me back into reading and I got to meet her at ALA!!! It was so, so surreal. Like usually, I had no idea what to say.

CARY ELWES

Okay, so this was more celebrity encounter than “author I wanted to meet” but he was appearing at BEA as an author and OMG I GOT TO MEET WESTLEY.

Which authors have you been most honored to meet? Who else is on your bucket list? I still can’t wait to meet Kasie West someday!!

Top Ten Tuesday – February 28, 2017: Favorite #bookstagram Photos of Mine

TTTbanner

TOP TEN TUESDAY
February 28, 2017

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic was a freebie!

I always come up with these great ideas for some freebies or variations on topics with the best intentions like bookish infographics or the best #bookstagram photos out there! But I neglected to save all of the cool infographics I’ve come across and aside from the fact that I haven’t saved Instagram photos from other accounts, there’s no way I could pick ten favorites from all of the amazingly talented people out there! So once again, we end up viewing personal favorites from my own collection.

I’ve been getting more and more into taking those neat #bookstagram photos and it’s interesting to see how things have come along over the years! Photos that I was proud of last year look totally horrible to me now and I feel like I’ve really worked on my lighting and props to come up with some really solid photos. I’m not photographer and I don’t have the skills that some other bookstagrammers do but I’m pretty proud of some of these photos! I picked my top ten favorites from my Instagram account to share today. (In order from most recent told oldest, for convenience.)

LUNARTIC SHELFIE | January 13, 2017
I had finally gotten around to taking a new selfie after the addition of HEARTLESS and special Owlcrate edition of HEARTLESS… but it’s already outdated because I’ve since added WIRES AND NERVE to my Marissa Meyer collection! OH DARN going to have to take another one…

SIMON TEEN ON THE SCENE | December 24, 2016
Simon Teen sent this AWESOME blogger package and I was thrilled to receive these books AND a mug! I really liked the way this photo turned out as far as lighting went and I think it looks nice in more muted tones instead of amping up the saturation. I also loved the pop of the plaid scarf for some reason!

CARAVAL, COFFEE, AND COOKIES | November 12, 2016
I did it for the ‘gram when I set up this photo while on vacation and bought two more macarons just so I could get the fancy box for my Instagram photo. What can I say… their packaging totally succeed in getting me to buy more! They were all delicious and to this day, I still miss them and want more. I was reading CARAVAL while in Salem with my BFFs (and I also miss this whole trip to this day because it was glorious) and this all came together for an interesting photo that’s apparently pretty popular on Tumblr.

HALLOWEEN AND SERIAL KILLERS | October 31, 2016
I got to interview STALKING JACK THE RIPPER author Kerri Maniscalco for our Fortnight of Fright blog event and so naturally, I had to take another photo of her book with the Foggy Knight candle! The lighting on this one highlighted the blood splatter so beautifully and I love it so.

AN ABUNDANCE OF CINDERS | August 29, 2016
I added some new versions of CINDER to my Lunar Chronicles collection and I had to snap a photo of them! I was too tired to drag the whole collection out so I just grabbed all of the copies of CINDER I had instead!

THE SUN SHINES ON THE SHELFIE | August 21, 2016
This was the first FULL shelfie I had taken in a while and the sun left a night highlight in the middle. It’s hard to get the whole bookcase in one shot and I liked the way this one turned out!

A STACK OF THRONES | August 6, 2016
This photo isn’t very complicated but sometimes those simple, clean photos are the best. I simply stacked my mass markets of A Song of Ice and Fire, popped some color in, and added a candle to complete the scene!

MY SORCERER’S STONE | July 30, 2016
I used a prompt from a photo challenge to come up with this photo. It was a “House Cup” challenge, so I represented my house of Ravenclaw and the other part of the prompt was “Horcruxes versus Hallows”. Secret? My husband and I both had rock collections when we were kids and we both still have them haha! So I went into the basement to sort through our rocks to find one that was Sorcerer’s Stone-appropriate and this was what I got! Also, have you ever included your hand in a photo? Whether it’s holding a stone or a mug, it’s REALLY hard to get your fingers to cooperate and look delicate instead of clunky and awkward.

ANGRY IN NANTUCKET | May 27, 2016
This was another photo prompt for some underrated reads and I chose books by Louise Rozett and Leila Howland. Another simple, clean photo turned out be one of my favorites.

OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS | May 12, 2016
This photo was a totally random moment that I took after a day on the floor of BEA 2016. I had just stacked up my books on the bed to assess what I had picked up and was chilling out with my delicious Starbucks when I decided to snap a photo of my current view because it looked like the perfect photo opp. I think all I did was make sure the coffee was at a good angle and move that clutch further into the photo frame to round it out and it turned out pretty awesome! I think this is actually the Instagram photo of mine with the most likes ever. Go figure!

Are you a bookstagrammer? Do you take the time to set up photos or is it just more work than it’s worth for you?

Top Ten Tuesday – February 14, 2017: Friends-to-More Romance

TTTbanner

TOP TEN TUESDAY
February 14, 2017

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic was All About X Romance/Trope! I have so many favorites but friends-to-more is one of my top choices for romance!

The Friends-to-More romance is one of my favorite tropes! Whether it’s best friends who have known each other for a long time or two recent friends who start to have feelings for each other, I just love the trope in any way! I’ve created a few posts about it including the Best-Friend-Turned-Boyfriend post (both one and two) and I started compiling a Comprehensive List for my favorite trope, which I hope to keep updated the more books I find that fit the list! Here are a few of my favorites for today’s Top Ten Tuesday!

ON THE FENCE by Kasie West  | Goodreads | Amazon

ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS is my go-to for this trope but you know what… I MAY love the romance in ON THE FENCE even more. Dare I say it? ANNA will still be my top contemp but I just love this one from Kasie West!

ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS by Stephanie Perkins | Goodreads | Amazon

My top contemporary booooook! I’m sure if you’ve been on my blog, you know everything that I have to say on this.

The Elemental Trilogy by Sherry Thomas | Goodreads | Amazon

Titus and Iolanthe!!!! They became an instant OTP as soon as I started reading this series. Gah, I just love them in every way.

emmy & oliver book cover

EMMY & OLIVER by Robin Benway | Goodreads | Amazon

I haven’t read many books that are childhood friends reuniting after being apart for a long time and this story from Robin Benway was touching, swoony, and serious all at the same time!

Shadow and Bone

The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo |  Goodreads | Amazon

I was one person who did not ship Alina and the Darkling in this series. I was more more Alina/Mal, especially towards the end of the series! They were just MEANT to be together!

The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins |  Goodreads | Amazon

The romance is actually my least favorite part of this entire series but I was way more Team Gale than I ever was Team Peeta! I’m just a sucker for that best-friends-to-more.

The Raven Boys - Maggie Steifvater

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater |  Goodreads | Amazon

Basically this whole series is friends-to-more, and kind of in more than one way. I love the all encompassing friendships and romances here!

When Joss Met Matt Eliie Cahill Liz Czukas

WHEN JOSS MET MATT by Ellie Cahill |  Goodreads | Amazon

Funny, adorable, sexy, and swoony — I fell head over heels for WHEN JOSS MET MATT and if you’re looking for a good New Adult book, you totally need to read this one!

Say whaaaat? This is all I have for friends-to-more!? Tell me what other books you loved featuring this trope!

Top Ten Tuesday – January 31, 2017: All About the Visuals

TTTbanner

TOP TEN TUESDAY
January 31, 2017

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic was All About the Visuals

So this topic was meant to be about things like graphic novels, comics, or picture books but to be honest… I really don’t read any of those! I tried to come up with something visual and I wanted to go look for book-related graphics and just didn’t do a good enough job of pinning them on my Pinterest account sooooo. I apologize in advance but I’m sharing the graphics that I’ve made for my blog instead! I hope it doesn’t feel too self-promo like BUT it’s also a fun time to share some older posts with graphics that some new blog followers may not have seen or things that just got lost along the way!

One of my favorite graphics series is the collection of “If You Liked…” posts! I select a book (or sometimes TV show, in the case of Gilmore Girls) and pick book recommendations based off of it! I’m SUPER picky about my book recommendations and sometimes they do venture a little off base if you don’t know where I’m going with them so I have full explanations down below the graphic in each post too!

My very first graphics that I ever started was a series that I cleverly (or maybe just a bad pun) called The Book Addict’s GUIDE and I picked a topic to recommend my favorite books! These were less read alikes, more just my favorites in a particular topic! The first ones are SUPER old and so outdated (like omg, four years by now) so start with the later ones (end of the list) if you want better graphics and more recent recommendations!

My last set of graphics that I do on my blog are all on the older side since I haven’t run and polls or surveys in forever! They were so much fun but gathering all of that data, sorting, adding, and then setting it all up in a graphic of my own design was a lot of work!! I would love to do one again but I don’t see it happening any time soon!

Do you do any graphics for your blog or any social media? If you enjoy any of these series, let me know if there’s something you want to see! I’m always looking for ideas!

Top Ten Tuesday – January 24, 2017: Top Books I’ve Been Waiting Ages For

TTTbanner

TOP TEN TUESDAY
January 24, 2017

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic was a freebie and I got inspired by my Goodreads list and selected
Ten Books I’ve Been Waiting Ages For

I’ve hopped onto some fandoms a little bit late but don’t worry… these are some epic series that take and epic amount of time to finish! Now I’m not usually one of those people who is like, “Hurry up, already” to their favorite authors but I just cannoooot wait for the following sequels to be released! They’re so epic that I’m so excited for them and I’m constantly stalking checking these authors’ websites and social media accounts for any details on their release dates!

  1. THE THORN OF EMBERLAIN (Gentleman Bastards #4) by Scott Lynch | The Gentleman Bastards series has become one of my all-time favorites! I LOVE the characters, the setting, and clever plot. I inhaled the first three books which were long but they didn’t feel like it and I cannot wait for the final and true release date of THE THORN OF EMBERLAIN!
  2. DOORS OF STONE (The Kingkiller Chronicle #3) by Patrick Rothfuss | Another fantasy series that I absolutely loved and pretty much inhaled. I’m so anxious for any news on DOORS OF STONE but not much has surfaced yet.
  3. WINDS OF WINTER (A Song of Ice and Fire #6) by George R.R. Martin | I mean, does this really need any explanation? I ended up… I guess bingeing the series (over the course of a year though) and I’m so far behind on the show that I’m just dying for the next book… As are we all…
  4. THERE’S SOMEONE INSIDE YOUR HOUSE by Stephanie Perkins | This has been an untitled horror story listed on Goodreads for ages and I can’t wait for something new from Stephanie Perkins that’s outside of an anthology! I’m super excited for it, although I’m such a fan of her love stories that I don’t know how horror is going to go but I’m excited nonetheless!
  5. THE ATZLANTIAN (The Rithmatist #2) by Brandon Sanderson | Okay, so I only just read THE RITHMATIST last year but I did absolutely love it. I thought it was a stand-alone for a little bit until it ended and then found out it was a series! There’s no specific release date for this one but it looks like we’ll be waiting a while. Brandon Sanderson is awesome and has shared full schedules for everything that he’s writing and planning and this one seems to be a while out but I guess it doesn’t really matter since I read everything that he writes and I’ll be reading something of his sometime soon.
  6. STRANGE THE DREAMER by Laini Taylor | The date for this one got pushed back and I’ve been so anxiously awaiting its release! I’ve been dying for more Laini Taylor!
  7. HELLO, SUNSHINE by Leila Howland | I adooooored NANTUCKET BLUE and NANTUCKET RED and I’ve been waiting for a new YA release from Leila Howland! She’s released a few middle grade books but since I don’t read MG, I’ve been waiting for a new young adult! This one finally has a release date for this summer and I couldn’t be more excited!
  8. THE EYE OF ANDROMEDA (The Age of X #3) by Richelle Mead | I wasn’t SUPER into this series but it really was enjoyable and I got more into it with the second book! I was so disappointed with Richelle Mead’s new YA series that I’m sad this one got put on the back burner and there’s not even a release date for it.
  9. VENGEFUL (Vicious #2) by V.E. Schwab | I’m actually not a big V.E. Schwab fan but I did really enjoy VICIOUS a lot. I think this book was kind of put on hold and may not happen but if it does, I’m excited to read it!
  10. PROPHECY OF OZ by Megan Shan | I added this book to my TBR over four years ago in 2012… is this thing ever going to happen? It sounded super awesome and I haven’t heard a peep since!

Which of these books are you waiting for too? Let’s wait anxiously together!

Top Ten Tuesday – January 2, 2017: Ten 2017 Debuts I’m Looking Forward To

TOP TEN TUESDAY
January 2, 2017

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic was Ten 2017 Debuts I’m Looking Forward To

I feel like I’ve had a hard time with debuts lately but then I look back and 2016 debuts like THE LOVE THAT SPLIT THE WORLD, THE CROWN’S GAME, and REBEL OF THE SANDS which were some of my favorite books of the year! 2017 has a lot to promise as well and these are some debuts that I’ll be making room for!

TO CATCH A KILLER by Sheryl Scarborough

Sheryl Scarborogh has a few other works listed on Goodreads but this appears to be the first full-length YA novel. I love mystery/thrillers and this sounds perfect for me!

I’ve had a hard time with Swoon Reads books but this one looked too cute to pass up! I love geek-chic and this sounds like so much fun!

This just sounds like YA Gentlemen Bastards with a possible Game of Thrones feel… But really, it’s high fantasy and I’m all in.

Goodreads

DAUGHTER OF THE BURNING CITY by Amanda Foody

This totally sounds like it might have a Night Circus feel and I need it in my life ASAP!

Goodreads

SHIMMER AND BURN by Mary Taranta

Magic, family, danger, and look how gorgeous this cover is! Plus, it’s a duology and I can totally get behind that.

Goodreads

I’m a few short of ten, but those are the 2017 debuts I’m most excited for! I have a few more on TBR that are debuts but I don’t know if I’m super psyched about them. These are the ones I definitely want to make a priority!

Top Ten Tuesday – December 13, 2016: Ten Most Anticipated Books of 2017 (Jan – Jun)

TTTbanner

TOP TEN TUESDAY
December 13, 2016

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic was Top Ten Most-Anticipated Reads from the 1st half of 2017!

As usual, the new year holds many exciting new releases and I can’t wait to get my hands on them! With SO MANY of my favorite series closing in 2016 like The Raven Cycle, The Dregs Duology, and the release of anticipated stand-alones like HEARTLESS, 2017 looks to be an interesting year and an exciting one for a lot of new/newer authors! Some of my favorite debut authors have sequels and sophomore novels coming out in 2017 and I’m really excited for them to be able to have a little limelight of their own and not be in the shadows of such huge author names (although really, they’ll be huge names themselves because I can’t get enough of their debuts)! Here are my most-anticipated reads of the first half of 2017:

THE CURSED QUEEN by Sarah Fine | January 3, 2017

This isn’t Sarah Fine’s first series but it’s the first I’ve read of hers with last year’s THE IMPOSTOR QUEEN. I felt like it had a slow start but I was THRILLED with the ending and I can’t wait to read this sequel/companion, THE CURSED QUEEN!

Goodreads

BY YOUR SIDE by Kasie West | January 31, 2017

Kasie West is a contemporary queen and she’s an auto-buy author for me. I cannot wait to read BY YOUR SIDE! I actually have an egalley from Harper so maybe I need to read this one VERY soon!

Goodreads

THE LONELY HEARTS HOTEL by Heather O’Neill | February 7, 2017

THE LONELY HEARTS HOTEL is maybe a lesser-known title of 2017 but it has promises of magic and NIGHT CIRCUS feels. It isn’t quite like THE NIGHT CIRCUS but it sounds like it could have the same kind of atmosphere and so, I’m all in!

Goodreads

A GOOD IDEA by Cristina Moracho | February 28, 2017

I loved Cristina Moracho’s debut ALTHEA & OLIVER and I can’t wait to read more from her! This cover looks positively terrifying and I can’t wait to see what she has in store!

Goodreads

TRAITOR TO THE THRONE by Alwyn Hamilton | March 7, 2017

REBEL OF THE SANDS was one of my favorite 2016 debuts and I’ve been dying to get my hands on TRAITOR TO THE THRONE ever since! I’m so excited that the time has finally come to continue this adventure!!

Goodreads

JUST ANOTHER GIRL by Elizabeth Eulberg | March 28, 2017

Elizabeth Eulberg has the most lovely, fun, and happy contemporary books out there. They’re such feel-good books and I’m always up for another one of her novels!!

Goodreads

IT STARTED WITH GOODBYE by Christina June | May 9, 2017

Christina June has her debut out this year with IT STARTED WITH GOODBYE. The cover is gorgeous, the story sounds amazing, and I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting and talking with her on several occasions. I’m so thrilled to read her book and I’m hoping to make it one of my reads coming up soon!

Goodreads

THE NAMES THEY GAVE US by Emery Lord | May 16, 2017

I’m always a huge fan of Emery Lord. She has such an amazing way of creating beautiful, complex characters with big hearts and lessons to teach as well as learn. THE NAMES THEY GAVE US comes out in 2017 and it’ll be an auto-buy for me!

Goodreads

THE CROWN’S FATE by Evelyn Skye | May 16, 2017

Evelyn Skye was my other favorite debut author of 2016 and I’m SO excited for the follow-up to THE CROWN’S GAME. Her writing is positively beautiful and I can’t wait for more of this magic!

Goodreads

A MILLION JUNES by Emily Henry | May 16, 2017

I also adored Emily Henry’s debut last year and I’m thrilled to read another stand-alone of hers! In a world of series, it’s so nice to have a few stand alones to be excited about and I can’t wait to read more of her beautiful words!

Goodreads

What are some of your most-anticipated books of 2017? Any of these make the top of your list too?
