Top Ten Tuesday – February 11, 2014: Top Ten Books That Will Make You Swoon

TTT

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic:  Top Ten Books That Will Make You Swoon

It was easy and hard all at the same time to come up with my book boyfriends again but luckily, I have a shelf on Goodreads called “All the Swoons” so I already had a good reference going! It was really hard to cut some out, but when it came down to it, I could only pick ten. So here we go, in a sort of “minimalist poster” style… Top Ten Books That Will Make You Swoon!

LEVI. THORNE. Excellent, as usual. Excellent. I love for Levi you have a Starbucks logo! That made me laugh. I’m glad I’m reading The Books of Broken Hearts sometimes soon-ish, since I’ve seen you have it on so many list!

Haha thank you! I was trying to think of what I could use for the book as a whole and then I thought more of Levi and it was just perfect! 😀
Oooooh do read that one soon! I’m scared but I hope you love it! Please love it 🙂

  2. Kate @ whYAnot

Oh my. I finished Cress the other night and fell even more in love with Captain Thorne. I adored him from Scarlet but he really upped the game in Cress! Great list!

  3. Elizabeth

Of course I agree on Josh Bennett and Levi (just realized he doesn’t have a last name. I almost called him Levi Strauss, which wtf, brain?). Such perfect choices for their graphics too! I really like that special touch.

Hahaha I LOLed at Levi Strauss. Too funny 🙂
Thank you! I had so much fun making the graphics!

  4. Maggie @ Just a Couple More Pages

We have some of the same choices. I don’t know how I forgot about Josh Bennett, lots of shame on me for that one. I think I’m going to put Confessions of an Angry Girl on my spring TBR list, I’ve wanted to read it forever and I feel like you mention it a lot. I even have it waiting for me on my Kindle!

  5. Kelly

I’d kind of given up on novellas, but if Night of Cake and Puppets was able to make you swoon, maybe I should give novellas another go!

I just picked up Cress today and I’m pumped to be reunited with Captain Thorne! He’s the reason I enjoyed Scarlet as much as I did 🙂

  6. Rebecca @ The Library Canary

I loved Thorne in Cress, but Wolf is the one who has my heart in that series. I need to meet this Sturmhond guy. And The Darkling. Basically I need to drop everything and read S&B right now. I also really want to read Sea of Tranquility. Excited to hear that there is a swoony guy. 🙂

  7. Amy

ZUZ! MIK!!! *heart explodes from cuteness and love* Also, I can’t have any lists about swoons or book boyfriends or favorite romances without Etienne. I just can’t do it at all. I need to read Confessions of an Angry Girl, too. I know you loved Jamie! I was so mad at myself for forgetting Josh Bennett! But YES TO HIM.

  8. Lauren @ Lose Time Reading

I AM STARTING SIEGE AND STORM TMRW 🙂 I forgot to update you on Twitter about S&B when we were chatting, but YES I loved it obviously 🙂 I’ve been Sturmhond is just AHHH!!! But I am partial to The Darkling still *hides*. Also Anna. yes to Anna. And hopefully sometime in the near future I will be able to get my hands on The Book of Broken Hearts. I love your images! Your TTT posts are always so creative and pretty <3

  9. Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl

There are SO many books I have to read. Gah! I can’t do it fast enough! YES to Anna. I left that one off because I felt like it was a given, but now I want her on my list! Haha. I have never heard of Confessions of an Angry Girl. I’m intrigued. And I am so excited to get to Ask Again Later! and Book of Broken Hearts… Great list! I must go read all the things.

  10. Kim @ The Avid Reader

I’m kind of ashamed to admit that I haven’t read Where She Went yet… I really loved If I Stay, so I really need to get on that! I do own it though… just need to move it up in my to read pile.

  11. Nicole

Did you create these posters? STOP BEING SO AWESOME! I love them. Like I want that Siege & Storm poster in my room. I also wouldn’t mind Sturmhond in my room. A girl can dream, right? 🙂

    1. Brittany Post author

Hahaha yes I did! 😀 Thank you so much for the enthusiasm 🙂 🙂 🙂
Haha I wouldn’t mind Sturmhond either. I mean… Just love him. Swooooon.

  12. Alexa S.

I intended to leave a comment about the books, but seriously, those posters are AWESOME. It was a great idea to do minimalist for the titles! And it turned out lovely.

  13. Lindsey @ Bring My Books

Oh my goodness, Cress! I just finished that book a day ago and I have been swooning ever since. Marissa Meyer has completely outdone herself with that book. And Thorne? Knock me over with a feather, that one could.

&&FanGirl, & Anna! Oh they’re just lovely. 🙂 Great list!

  14. Hannah @ So Obsessed With

I love so many of the books on your list, but my main takeaway is: aaaahhhh these posters/graphics are seriously so awesome! I loved that I’d read so many of these books and knew the significance of the object you chose to feature. So talented 🙂
