TOP TEN TUESDAY
March 31, 2015

It’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by the wonderful blog at The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic was:
Ten Books You Recently Added To Your To-Be-Read List

I’m actually really excited for this! I just added some REALLY good books (or what I hope will be good books) to my TBR and some that I’m incredibly interested in so I took the last ten from Goodreads and added them to this post! I can’t wait to hear what you guys think of these too!

top ten tuesday mar 31 15

Things I Can’t Explain by Mitchell Kriegman: Guys, this is a CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL ADAPTATION (from the creator of the show) and Clarissa is now in her 20s. HELLO I AM SO THERE. | Goodreads

Uprooted by Naomi Novik: I actually heard about this one from the publisher but clicked on the Goodreads link and saw so many of my friends add it to their TBRs and so many of my favorite authors gave it five stars already. Also just finished Seraphina by Rachel Hartman and YES, PLEASE, more dragons! | Goodreads

The Anatomical Shape of a Heart by Jenn Bennett: I’m always looking for more cleverly contemporaries and things to make them stand out. Plus, the author said there are some “verra sexy” things, is character driven, and tells the tale of a summer romance (thanks to Danielle for including that in her Goodreads pre-review!) *nods* | Goodreads

(Untitled) Ready Player One #2 by Ernest Cline: THERE IS GOING TO BE ANOTHER BOOK TO READY PLAYER ONE? I AM THE MOST ESSITED! | Goodreads

First & Then by Emma Mills: This sounds super cute. YA contemporary and it references FNL (okay, maybe just because of football, but they have me sucked in). Thanks to Macmillan for the heads up! | Goodreads

The Lies About Truth by Courtney C. Stevens: This seems like a bit heavier YA (aftermath of a car crash) but I really do think this sounds incredibly interesting and I have a feeling it’ll be really moving! | Goodreads

Very In Pieces by Megan Frazer Blakemore: I don’t know how I feel about the name “Very” but I like the “done being a good girl” idea. I’m interested to see how this one turns out! | Goodreads

Nice Girls Don’t Ride by Roni Loren: I’ve been picking up some NA titles here and there and with some encouragement, grabbed this one from the Berkeley/NAL newsletter. It sounds like one I’d really enjoy so I hope I do! Kind of a sucker for hot mechanics & motorcycles (reminds me of my husband haha!) | Goodreads

Silver on the Road by Laura Anne Gilman: Fantasy in the wild west? YES PLEASE. | Goodreads

Juniors by Kaui Hart Hemmings: I heard about this one from the publisher as well (got a rec on Goodreads) and it sounds interesting! It’s the same author as The Descendants (which I didn’t read or see the movie. Well, I saw part of it but couldn’t finish for some reason. Not sure why) and I’m a teensy bit nervous about the “fabulously wealthy” part but it sounds like the main characters aren’t the wealthy ones so I’m curious! | Goodreads

Which ones are you most excited for? It’s SO hard to choose but I know I’m VERY MUCH looking forward to this Clarissa book!!!!

I just really love that First & Then cover! But the title that most intrigues me is Silver on the Road. A Western fantasy? Sounds intriguing!

Ahhhh I am dying to read so many of these!! The Anatomical Shape of a Heart has been on my radar forever, I am crossing my fingers it’ll be at BEA. (Sooo excited about those sexy times :D) Also can’t wait for The Lies About Truth, First & Then, and Silver on the Road. <3 Great list, lady.

It can be dangerous to look at everyone else’s TTT because then I usually end up adding more books to my TBR! I actually am not familiar with any of these books except for the Courtney Stevens one, which of course I will have to add. I loved Faking Normal! I love your comments along with each book, Brittany! 🙂

CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL ADAPTATION!!!!! Where has this been all my life? I NEED IT! Also yes, to the untitled sequel to Ready Player One. Wil Wheaton better narrate that audio book! Silver in the Road also sounds amazing! I need to amend my list. It’ll just be a link back to this post.
